PACE

PACE, PLAYFULNESS, ACCEPTANCE, CURIOSITY, EMPATHY

What is PACE ?

PACE was developed by Dr Dan Hughes more than 20 years ago , as an effective way of thinking , communicating and behaviour. Its aim is to foster safety in children , young people and vulnerable adults
By implementing Playfulness , Acceptance , Curiosity and Empathy in particular ways it strengthens and supports relationships , gradually building trust and a sense of safety .

What are the benefits of investing in PACE training ?

The principles of PACE offer a framework for staff , which helps them gain a greater understanding of the children , young people and vulnerable adults in their care .
Resulting in calmer environments in the workplace , classroom etc , lessening distractions and disturbances .

After Covid many children and young people have shown signs of Trauma and PACE is a proven tool to help adults /staff be better
attuned and more confident at supporting these children and young people
